IMAGINATION, FUN, INSPIRATION

MIXED MEDIA GEL PLATE PRINTING WORKSHOP 1

Along with learning to create something new you'll be enjoying the fun and supportive social atmosphere, making new friends and playing with high quality Art materials. Small workshop size, giving you lots of attention. You'll create loads of prints throughout the weekend, layering Acrylic and finishing off with Coloured Pencil, Pigmented Gel Pens & Ink Pens. You'll be using a Gel Plate, Brayers, Stencils, Stamps, Mark Making Tools and making some of your own stencils. You can frame them and put them on the wall, give them as gifts, create a journal with them, make a mixed media canvas. Your options with this process are never ending and it's loads of fun!

***WORKSHOP WILL GO AHEAD PENDING NUMBERS***

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE BOOKING

WHEN: Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st May 9:30am - 4:30pm. Please arrive at 9:20am to get settled.

WHAT: You'll start with some easy prints and work them through to completion while making other prints for other designs, after that you'll create your own designs. You'll take home lots of incomplete prints that you can continue to work on, or hang on to them to continue in Workshop 2, the options are endless. Workshop 1 gives you a taste of the whole process, including a little about balance, light, colour and is enough for you to continue playing at home. But I recommend doing Workshop 2 as well, to grasp a good understanding of the whole process. If you'd like to continue learning more about the process, you can book in for Workshop 2 or Term classes are also available. If you did workshop 2 first, bring along your complete and incomplete Prints from Workshop 2 to continue creating and learning more about the many things you can do to grasp the full process.

TESTIMONIALS:

I have attended Alice West art classes for three terms. I did acrylic painting classes and I could not have been more happy with what I learnt and the painting that I have created are incredible. Alice has an amazing ability to teach art. She makes it so easy for someone who never held a brush to produce a masterpiece of an art work. Sometimes I can’t even believe that I was able to paint such a beautiful pieces. Thank you Alice for making my journey so enjoyable.

A year ago I decided to try my hand at painting. My previous experience had been painting house walls and a small childs fingernails. I wanted to try something new, create something my kids could cherish, but mostly I wanted to do it for me. Guided by a very talented local artist Alice, I’m proud to say my first acrylic piece is complete!
My Wednesday art lesson has become the highlight of my week. Spending time with other ladies developing friendships, exercising patience, exploring hidden abilities, ‘switching off’, and most importantly nurturing creativity in a peaceful place has been invaluable to me.
If you are located on the Sunny Coast, I urge you to reach out to Alice - No experience is necessary and you might just surprise yourself 💗🌷  And to you, my darling friend Alice, thank you for your guidance and kindness. You’ve become such a special friend to me and I’m so grateful to have you in my world.
